Questions 1–4

What are the first questions to ask a stem cell clinic in Seoul?

Start with the material and the people: where the cells come from, what system prepares them, who treats you and where the preparation happens. These four answers tell you most of what you need to know about safety and accountability.

# Ask this Why it matters Celliting's answer
1 Where do the cells come from? Donor or own cells change the risks Your own blood, no donor, no fat extraction
2 What system or product is used? You can research a named system Miracell (since 2021) or NovaStem (since 2024)
3 Who performs the treatment? Continuity and accountability An MD-PhD medical director, in person
4 Where are cells prepared? Clean conditions matter On site, in four sterile rooms
Questions 5–8

Which questions protect you after treatment?

The second set covers the paperwork and support around the procedure: whether the clinic is designated, what happens once you fly home, how consent works and which records you keep. Clinics that welcome these questions usually handle the rest well too.

# Ask this Why it matters Celliting's answer
5 Is the clinic government-designated? Shows it works within Korea's framework MOHW-designated on June 15, 2026
6 What follow-up is included? Questions often come after you leave Free 3-month follow-up and 24-hour line
7 How is consent taken? You should understand risks first Doctor explains; written consent before treatment
8 What records will I receive? Your home doctor may need them Written aftercare in your language; ask what else is provided

Experience

What does 450+ treatments since 2021 tell you?

It tells you the team has a routine with this specific method, not just with aesthetics in general. Gangnam Celliting opened its Stem Cell Center with Miracell in 2021, was the 5th clinic in Korea to introduce stem cell procedures, and added NovaStem in 2024.

  • It tells you honestly if treatment is not suitable

Talk to your doctor first

  • Any vague answer about where cells come from
  • Pressure to book or pay before consultation
  • Promises of cures or guaranteed results

FAQ

Stem Cell Clinic: your questions, answered

Reviewed by Dr. Ho-chan Kim, MD, PhD · Updated October 2026

What is the most important question to ask a stem cell clinic?

Where the cells come from. Your own blood-derived cells, donor cells and lab-expanded cells involve different processes and risks. At Celliting the answer is your own blood, with no donor material and no fat extraction.

Why does it matter that a clinic was the 5th in Korea to offer stem cell procedures?

It shows the clinic has worked with the method for several years rather than adding it recently. Celliting introduced stem cell procedures in 2021 and has performed more than 450 treatments since. It is a sign of experience, not a guarantee of your result.

Should a stem cell clinic let me speak to the treating doctor before booking?

Yes, it is reasonable to expect this. At Celliting the medical directors consult and treat in person. You can start with written questions on WhatsApp and then meet the doctor at consultation in Gangnam before deciding.

What if a clinic will not answer some of the eight questions?

Treat missing answers as a reason to pause. A clinic may decline to quote prices without seeing you, which is normal, but it should be able to explain cell source, system, preparation and consent clearly.

Can I bring the checklist to my consultation?

Please do. Doctors at Celliting are happy to go through each question with you, and having it written down helps you remember the answers when you are back home.
