Questions in advance

Before you book exosome therapy anywhere, know what to ask. This checklist covers product source, regulatory questions, cold-chain storage, allergy testing and how to compare clinics in Korea fairly.

To judge exosome therapy safely, ask where the product comes from, how it is regulated for its intended use, how it is stored and handled, and whether your skin will be checked for sensitivity first. A doctor should examine you before treatment. At Gangnam Celliting Clinic, a medical director answers these questions at consultation, before any product touches your skin.
Exosome products are made by collecting the vesicles that cultured cells release, then purifying and formulating them. The type of source cell, the manufacturing process and the final formulation all differ between products. That is why two treatments both called "exosome" may not be comparable.
You do not need to understand the laboratory science. You only need a clear, honest answer to a few questions, and a clinic should be comfortable giving one.

Ask how the product is classified and approved for the way it will be used, because rules can differ between cosmetic, medical-device and drug-type uses, and between countries. A product suited to application on the skin surface is not automatically suited to injection.
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| How is this product classified? | Classification affects how it may be used |
| Is this use within its intended purpose? | Topical and injected use are different |
| Is the clinic a registered medical clinic? | Treatment should be doctor-led |
| Who performs the procedure? | Experience affects safety and comfort |
Gangnam Celliting Clinic is a doctor-led clinic, designated an Advanced Regenerative Medicine Institution by Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare on June 15, 2026. The regenerative medicine overview explains what that designation means for patients.
Biological products are sensitive to temperature and handling, so ask how the product is stored and when it is opened. A careful process protects quality and hygiene.

Your doctor reviews allergies, medications and skin history first, and may suggest a test area if your skin reacts easily. Tell the team about reactions to skincare, numbing creams, antiseptics or metals.
Mild, temporary redness or sensitivity can follow exosome procedures, especially when combined with microneedling. Swelling, itching or rash that worsens should be reported promptly. Celliting provides a 24-hour contact line and written aftercare in your language.

From overseas, compare clinics by how clearly they answer, not by advertised promises. Ask each clinic the same questions about source, classification, storage and who treats you, and save the replies. Celliting answers in English, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese through WhatsApp and the consultation form. Allow one spare day after treatment before flying so the doctor can see you if your skin reacts.

It depends on the product and how it is used. Different products are classified differently, and topical use is not the same as injection. Ask the clinic how its product is classified for the planned use, and expect a clear, specific answer from the doctor.
Yes, a reaction is possible, as with any applied product. Formulations include other ingredients besides exosomes. Share your allergy history, and ask about a test area if your skin is reactive. Report rash, worsening swelling or itching promptly.
Because source cells, manufacturing, purification and formulation all vary. Two products sold as "exosome" may contain different materials and suit different uses. This is why asking about the specific product is more useful than comparing the word alone.
A safe clinic can explain the product, show sealed packaging, describe how it is stored, confirm that a doctor examines you, and outline aftercare. It should also explain realistic limits. A clear answer to each question is a good sign.
One of the two MD-PhD medical directors, Dr. Ho-chan Kim or Dr. Young-mi Rhee, personally performs your consultation and treatment. Care is not handed off to another practitioner.
