What happens during a Thermage FLX session, start to finish?
A Thermage FLX session follows a set order of cleansing, marking, treating and checking, and the doctor stays with you throughout.
- Cleanse and grid Make-up is removed and a temporary grid is placed so pulses can be spaced evenly.
- Return pad A small pad is placed on your body to complete the radiofrequency circuit.
- Tip check You see the sealed tip and can verify it on the official Korean Thermage website.
- Passes Pulses are delivered in several passes, with extra focus where skin is looser.
- Wipe and review The grid and coupling fluid are removed and both sides are checked.
Comfort and results
How comfortable is FLX, and when do results build?
Most people describe each FLX pulse as a short burst of deep heat followed by cooling, felt more over bone and less over the cheeks. Comfort is managed in several ways:

How long does a Thermage FLX session take?
It depends on the areas. A face-only session is usually shorter than face plus eyes, and numbing time adds to the total. The larger FLX tip helps keep sessions shorter than with older Thermage systems.
Can Thermage FLX be used on the eyelids?
Yes, with the dedicated eye tip and protective eye shields. In Korea, Thermage FLX is approved for wrinkles around the eyes. The doctor checks whether your eyelid skin is suitable.
Do I need numbing cream for Thermage FLX?
Most patients use topical anesthesia, and the handpiece adds vibration and cooling. If you are sensitive to heat, AirNox analgesia may also be offered. Tell the doctor during the session if any area feels too hot.
When will I see the full effect of Thermage FLX?
Usually after a few months. The official Thermage information says measurable results may appear during the two to six months after a single treatment. Individual responses vary.
Can I wear make-up after Thermage FLX?
